I’ve always loved the Beetle. It was my first car, and it carries a sense of nostalgia and timeless charm that continues to inspire me.
This piece brings together that memory with a little building I adored when visiting Florida, set against the playful spirit of the place. I wanted to weave native animals into the scene, but a real crocodile didn’t feel right beside the figures, so I chose a crocodile floaty instead, the perfect touch of whimsy to bring the painting to life.
