With a palpable love of colour and its ability to elict memory and emotion, Ruth Mulvie paints nostalgic scenses based on vintage Kodachrome photographs. Her playful use of a synthetic palette paired with depictions of mid-century America has drawn comparisons to the Pop Art movement of the 1960s. Ruth holds a degree in painting from the Glasgow School of Art and now lives and works in West Sussex, UK.
